One Person One Voice One Share is an innovative governance and employee engagement model launched in April 2018 to empower employees to co-own the company’s agenda and participate in bringing the One Planet. One Health vision to life.
As a starting point of this participative journey, a learning platform has been set up with extensive sharing and learning resources related to the company vision and Danone 2030 goals. This platform is dedicated to our 100,000 employees to better understand our local and global goals and learn about our One Planet. One Health topics.
Why does it matter ?
The One Planet. One Health platform has been a key tool to equip Danone’s employees with both global and local information on our strategic goals and what is at stake, so that they can reflect and share their insights and impact Danone’s future during our consultation last October.
Live sessions and face-to-face meetings have also been animated to share the content of the platform in factories and warehouses across the world.
This platform is meant to be at the service of the local teams, of each Danone employee who owns their learning path navigating through the available content. And we believe it will contribute to foster an ownership mindset and to deliver our vision in a locally tangible and relevant way. This pioneering learning platform is a key asset to co-build our strategic agenda with our more than 100,000 employees.
How does it work ?
On this digital platform, all Danone employees can learn more, better understand and build on the issues, challenges and opportunities that come with our long term goals.
The platform has three focuses:
- Danone 2030 goals information: what is at stake, what are Danone’s current plans and what needs are the goals answering to?
- Content on planet and health related topics, eg. What’s inside the food, how is food produced and what is the future of food?
- Access to external trainings with partners such as UNITAR, the education arm of the United Nations, Ellen MacArthur Foundation so that Danone employees can become experts on topics such as climate change or food systems and become certified by well-known organizations.
In 2019, the platform will also include a 2 hours training module co-built with UNITAR, tailored to fit Danone’s One Planet. One Health vision.
How does it create value ?
The One Planet. One Health platform connects the dots between our vision, our Company Goals, our various initiatives and products and the broader food revolution. By using more than 85% of already existing content, we are leveraging our businesses’ assets with more than 500 local items published through the platform (local plans & proofpoints as well as local feedbacks available to all Danone employees), connecting the dots with the global content.
It enables optimal reach to all employees, whatever their role or the business they work in and equip them on environmental and societal topics including on our business categories. Traffic had already reached more than 19,000 single employees in the 6 first months, supporting the One Voice consultation and becoming our One Person One Voice One Share backbone.
It includes a call to action for each employee to reflect and share what the future should look like for Danone.
The platform was designed to share the One Planet. One Health vision as one company and to enable each business to make this vision relevant to its people, local plans and markets needs.
“We shared both our global strategy and local plans to make them relevant and anchored into the reality of our 9500 employees in Russia. We wanted to all speak the same language. We introduced the learning platform, did more than 200 interactive sessions in Russia’s production sites and warehouses and asked leadership teams to explain our global and local plans in tangible videos using local proofpoints.
The yearly routine we are entering into will help to keep this knowledge and clarity in a changing environment that calls more than ever for employees’ engagement."
