A food revolution is happening, and we choose to serve it. However, we cannot do it alone: to change the way food is grown, produced, marketed, distributed, sold and consumed, we need to co-create solutions with others, leveraging their expertise. To do so, we are building on decades of partnership experience to work hand in hand with Danone employees, farmers, suppliers, retailers, consumers and partners as well as civil society, governments and public health professionals. Altogether, we want to be remembered as a driving force of the food generation.

Stakeholder dialogue forms an integral part of Danone’s strategy; the Company works with stakeholders to jointly develop its commitments and contribute to public discussion.

Transparency of advocacy activities

Danone engages in advocacy activities which it conducts ethically and transparently with the interests of the consumer in mind and with the will to meet public health goals such as fighting obesity, malnutrition or undernutrition.

 

As part of Danone’s dialogue with stakeholders and good business conduct, the Company interacts with public authorities and non-governmental players. Danone’s policy on advocacy activities describes the behaviors expected of Danone’s employees who work with these stakeholders. The policy also states that the Company does not use any corporate funds or assets to make political contributions or independent expenditures on behalf of candidates or parties. Danone’s advocacy action must also be compliant with the Code of Business Conduct and the Integrity Policy.
